The government and people of Enugu State, alongside the Nigerian mining and business community, are mourning the transition of Pa Gabriel Ogbonnaya Okoro, who passed away peacefully at the age of 84.
Pa Okoro was the father of Jude Okoro, Executive Assistant to the Special Assistant to the Enugu State Governor on Mining and the Managing Director of TerraXin Mining Solutions Limited.
Described by family, colleagues, and community leaders as an epitome of hard work, courage, and discipline, Pa Okoro’s legacy is reflected in his profound impact on his community and the exemplary public and private service of his children. His life was defined by an unwavering commitment to integrity, community development, and the promotion of core moral values.
According to an official statement released by the family, the funeral and burial rites have been scheduled to take place on November 6 and 7, 2026.
Since the announcement of his passing, condolences have been pouring in from top government officials, business executives, and associates of the Enugu State Government, all commiserating with Jude Okoro and the entire Okoro family during this time of grief.
Funeral committees are expected to announce further details regarding the venue and order of service for the burial rites in the coming days.
