The commitment was made during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development in Abuja, by the Governor, where he held discussions with Alake on ways to deepen cooperation between the Federal Government and Taraba State.

The meeting focused on promoting investment in Taraba’s mining sector while ensuring that investors have the necessary security, regulatory support and enabling environment to explore the state’s mineral resources.

Taraba is endowed with significant mineral resources, offering opportunities for exploration, development and value addition. The collaboration between the state and the Federal Government is therefore expected to facilitate responsible mining activities and attract more investors to the sector.

The meeting also underscored the importance of closer coordination between the two levels of government in addressing challenges that could hinder investment and sustainable development of the state’s mineral resources.

The discussions between Alake and Kefas are expected to contribute to efforts to unlock Taraba’s mining potential and position the state as an attractive destination for local and international investors in Nigeria’s solid minerals industry.
