VUKA Group has issued a strong statement reaffirming its commitment to a united Africa and condemning xenophobia, Afrophobia, violence, intimidation and discrimination in all their forms.
The company, whose purpose is “to connect Africa with the world’s best, to influence sustainable progress,” said Africa’s greatest opportunity lies in connection, collaboration and trust rather than division, isolation or mutual suspicion.
“These actions undermine human dignity, erode trust and stand in direct opposition to the inclusive and prosperous Africa we all have a responsibility to help build,” the statement read.
VUKA Group said it exists to connect people and organisations through trusted environments that enable meaningful change. Across its events, media platforms and digital communities, the group aims to move stakeholders from awareness to engagement, collaboration and ultimately action that drives sustainable economic and social progress. Trust, it emphasised, sits at the centre of that mission.
The organisation pointed to Nigeria Mining Week, which it has organised for more than a decade, as a practical embodiment of these principles. The event has become one of the mining industry’s most important meeting places in Africa, bringing together government leaders, mining companies, investors, service providers, development organisations and industry experts.

It noted that the mining sector depends on the cross-border movement of ideas, investment, expertise and partnerships, and that progress occurs when people with different experiences come together.
Xenophobia, the group warned, threatens these outcomes by weakening the relationships that underpin successful industries, thriving economies and strong societies.
As a company rooted in connection and collaboration, it stated there is no place for hatred, intimidation or exclusion in the future Africa is working to create.
