An earlier announced appointment of Yazid Shehu Umar Danfulani as the new Executive Secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund/Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative (SMDF/PAGMI) has been cancelled.
Bayo Onanuga,Special Adviser to the President,Information & Strategy, who had earlier
on Friday made the announcement in press statement has issued another statement, saying there was no vacancy in the agency.
Onanuga therefore said the President has “approved the renewal of the appointment of Fatima Umaru Shinkafi as the executive secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund/Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative (SMDF/PAGMI).”
The Presidential spokesman noted that “She was first appointed into the job by President Muhammadu Buhari and is said to be one of the driving forces of the changes in the solid mineral sector.”
He added that “The earlier announcement about the appointment of Yazid Shehu Umar Danfulani as the Executive Secretary of the SMDF/PAGMI, has been cancelled as there is no vacancy in the agency.”
