He said this on Monday, 13th July, 2026, following a courtesy visit to his office in Abuja by the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority, Mr. Ola Awakan.
The Minister was decorated as a Tourism Ambassador by Awakan during the visit.
Alake in a statement afterwards said the two of them discussed how they can strengthen collaboration between the solid minerals and tourism sectors, particularly through the development of a Geo-tourism Plan that showcases Nigeria’s rich mineral assets while creating new opportunities for investment, tourism and sustainable economic growth.
